Description of experience:: 1/6/99: A friend and I were returning home to Colorado Springs after taking our children to the Butterfly Pavillion in Denver. My friend was driving and accidently took a wrong turn. We eventually headed east on I-76. At approximately 16:55 I was looking west out the back window admiring the mountains. I saw a few airplanes in the sky with contrails. Then I noticed (what must have been) a very large object. It was silver/illuminated/bright as if perhaps the sun was possibly causing this "illuminated" effect. This object was flat and oblong like a typical UFO. It was disk like, and very large. Much larger than any airplane I am aware of. It was moving towards me (east). When I realized how bizarre this thing was I told my friend and gropped for his video camera (which we had taken to video tape the kids). When I looked at it again (within) one minute it had moved to the south. Much much quicker than an airplane could have.My friend and I became excited, and I told him to quickly turn the car and drive west so that he could see it as well.We turned around and it was going west this time. We saw 3 airplanes begining to "congregate" in the area where this thing was when it was going south. However, the object headed west and dissapeared behind the mountain within 60 seconds. We noted the time to be 17:06 when we lost sight of it.An airplane followed in the same path, only much much slower than the object. It took the airplane at least 5-6 min to dissapear from view behind the mountain. It was almost amusing to see that these airplane where trying to get near the object but were so very very slow in comparison. I was not able to video tape this event because the sunlight was glaring on the lense and I could not see the object in the camera. It was too far away I thought to show up very clearly.I was not able to see any detail except that it was a large silver/illuminated object. I am sure there must have been several people that saw this as well since it was still daylight.Today 11/7/99 I called Norad and spoke to Capt. Pesher and described what we saw. I told him that my father is a retired US Airforce pilot, and I am also the ex-wife of a C-141 pilot from USAFA and the wife of a Military Intelligence officer with the Army. I have never in my life seen any aircraft like this, nor am I aware of anything that is capable of moving in the same manner that this particular object did.Perhaps the military is testing some aircraft. If so I would be very interested to know what it was, and I am sure there are many people in Denver who are just as curious.

Description of experience:: Me, my husband and our 2 children went out target practicing, looking towards the west, we noticed a jet with contrails heading east, and then out of nowhere appeared a shiny round metallic obect that was visible for about 45 seconds and then it dissapeared for 30 seconds and then it reappeared again for 45 seconds, and then it dissapeared. It appeared to be round, shiny and extremely bright, Guessing the distance from where we were, is 3 to 5 miles and it was about the size of a BB held up at arms length. We thought that it was unusually strange that the sun was setting behind it in the west, and this object was still shiny towards us, instead of having a shadow.
This report came in to the center at 10/29/99 1:46:10 PM Pacific Daylight Time, but apparently occurred in August.

Description of experience: As I was standing on my front porch looking at the stars, I saw a small blue light going across the sky. At first I thought it was a satellite or a meteor or something like that, but suddenly, when it was almost in front of my direct field of vision it stopped. This caught my attention. A stared at it wondering if I was hallucinating, but just as I started to believe it wasn't real, it began to move again, in the opposite direction that it was coming from. It moved back, then starting moving in a circular pattern, then darted back and forth in the sky. This all happened in a matter of 5-10 seconds, and it then separated into two separate lights. The orginal blue one, and a red one. The two lights shot off towards space and disappeared.

Description of experience:: We experienced 5 to 10 of these objects moving in circles, back and forth, up & down,A pulsating light. They would move fast then slow. It was weird. We have been looking everynight for the past couple weeks. It was starting around 1:30AM, but it has seemed to be earlier. I can assure you that it's not stars!!!!! Stars DONT move like that. We also looked on our telescope, most of them have a orange middle, on the outside they were green. The light of it pulsated! That is my boyfriend & my experience! Thank You, Joy & Ray
called my boyfriend to come quick out the front door as I saw what was as described [as a triangular strobe train ] heading southeast from my kitchen window at 7:10 p.m., Southern Ontario, EST, November 16. So vivid a white light that upon first sight, it startled me while eating dinner. It had to have lasted at least 15-20 seconds as it was still in the sky by the time we ran out to track it. So vivid upon first sight, it distracted me from our dinner. Then it vanished...all in a straight strobing line. Do meteors behave like this, in segments? We are in the country so it was very distinct. At first I thought it was a really long, low flying airplane and it was the lights in the window that I was seeing, but once it faded off, we knew it was something different. Planes don't fly so close although this appeared to be at the altitude of a jet that would coming in for a landing. Just a long strobing train of triangular pointy light...!
